I work in pastel and oil using subtle layers of paint to build up depth and atmosphere in my landscape paintings.
Jane Lampard
I try to employ a sensitive approach, working outside whenever possible and drawing inspiration from the fleeting effects of the change of seasons, the weather and the light.

There is so much that I want to record in the beauty of our landscape. I am particularly interested in the small farms near my home in South Gloucestershire, perhaps because I feel their traditional way of life is threatened.

When working from home I love to paint the varied coastline of the British Isles from Cornwall to the Outer Hebrides. I also enjoy the Mediterranean light in Italy and the South of France where I have tutored small groups.

Biography - Jane, for the past fifteeen years has had an annnual exhibition in her studio at home. Her work has been exhibited with the Pastel Society, The Society of Women Artists, The Royal West of England Academy as well as several leading provincial galleries.
