Michael Long
The majority of my work has been figurative landscapes in oils and acrylics, exploring various types of landscapes in different seasons of the year. I have drawn and painted in a classic English style with an emphasis on subtle tones and distant horizons.

In my more recent and contemporary work I have been more interested in interpreting the landscape through drawing out its qualities of colour, form and texture. I have often combined these qualities with rhythm, movement and strong composition to make more expressive work.
